Anthony David Gonzalez is a former American football tight end who played in the National Football League for 17 seasons. He is considered to be one of the top tight ends in history. Alongside being the NFL's leader for receiving yards and third in total receptions, Gonzalez was one of the NFL tight end with the most receptions.
Tony Gonzalez serves as a FOX sports studio analyst. Gonzalez has been a regular guest presenter on FOX NFL KICKOFF since the start of the NFL's season in 2017. The hour-long pregame show precedes FOX NFL Sunday on Sundays beginning at 11 AM ET, in the NFL Season.
Gonzalez was released by the Falcons on March 15 2013 for a contract that was worth 14 million dollars over two years. He did this regardless of the fact that he had claimed that he would retire after the season. After the departure of Randy Moss, 37-year-old Gonzalez spent his last season as the league's top player in receiving yards.
